Due to the rough conditions at the dinghy dock in Niue, I didn't take my camera ashore so I don't have any pictures of Niue. These pictures were taken by the skipper.
Niue's population declined quite a lot after Cyclone Heta in 2004. There are deserted houses everywhere in the island. It was slightly spooky in some of the more deserted villages after dark.
There are beautiful limestone caves with good snorkeling along the coast. I heard that the diving in Niue is very good, but didn't have a chance to dive.
